As sport and physical activity contribute to both - personal development and health - only if played regularly, successful school- and sport sector cooperation programs should be based on a sustainable, long-term strategy.
Relevance – Why is this requirement important?

To get durable sustainable effects projects should be directed towards long term goals. For almost all areas of child development frequency and duration is important.
 

Challenges – What are the typical challenges related to this requirement?

As funding a policy is mostly based om short term goals, it’s hard to keep the long term goals in mind.

Strategies – What are potential measures or strategies you might consider to (better) fulfil this requirement?

Use different projectplans (Long term versus short term) on different levels. Try to influence politics to get the program in the policy for more years.

Secure your results in reviews and reports. If you built up a track record of results it is easier to prove the effect of an upcoming project.

Keep the same coach for longer intensive periods with the same group to maximize effect.
